One of the things we did on our long weekend in Chicago was to pay a visit to the Field Museum. I haven't been to that museum in decades, but it hasn't changed much. There's still the classically awesomely terrifying T-Rex skeleton of Sue. And the Ancient Egypt exhibit was much as I remembered it. And the taxidermied animals were all still there--motionless in a never-changing diorama.
But there were other things, too. Like the exhibit on evolution. I kept walking along there wondering how anyone could "not believe" in evolution. It was a great exhibit, but it made me sad. People from Kansas need to go to the Field Museum and walk through there with an open mind.
And there was also a really cool exhibit of the Chicago World's Fair, with actual exhibits from the 1893 fair.
If you're in Chicago and looking for a worthwhile museum, I'd totally recommend a visit.
