It's been a little while since I updated the blog, and you're about to find out why that is...
Those of you who are playing along at home may recall that we had a barbeque on the Sunday before Memorial Day, which counted toward my list, both in terms of holiday parties, and also in terms of barbeques. Well, exactly a week later, we had another barbeque party--this time to welcome my father-in-law and his friend, Donna, to Brooklyn.
Why were they in Brooklyn, you ask? Well, it was their first stop to meet up with us for our massive family vacation to Africa!
But this isn't the vacation post. This is the barbeque post. Essentially, we threw a giant barbeque for a ton of people, and then skipped town, leaving our friends and housekeeper to clean up after the whole thing.
The best part of the food, I think, was that Copper River salmon was in season, so I roasted filets on the grill on a cedar plank. Phenomenal.
