One of the great things about my ice cream maker is that you don't have to pre-freeze the bowl before making a new batch of ice cream. That means that last weekend, I was able to make two new flavors of ice cream: Rosemary Ice Cream and Goat Cheese Ice Cream with Roasted Blueberries. I decided to name them "Rosemary, Baby!" and "Chevrebleuet" (as in, "Baseball, Hot Dogs, Apple Pie and Chevrebluet."
I had left over blueberries from my awesome blueberry pie, so I roasted them with some sugar and then folded them into a goat cheese ice cream base. And for my rosemary flavor, I just made it the same way you'd make a mint ice cream, but with rosemary, instead.
People liked both flavors, but I think the edge went to the rosemary ice cream.
