Last weekend, we went to Calexico, in Park Slope, Brooklyn, and I noticed wings on their menu. So, of course, I had to knock off another restaurant for my challenge. They're chipotle glazed, which was fine. Not exactly a traditional buffalo flavor, but close, and with good spice. Not too much heat, but not mild, at all.
They're served with julienned apple, rather than carrot and celery. Hm. First time I've encountered that! Bonus points for including bleu cheese, rather than ranch, but for some reason, their bleu cheese is a 'sauce' rather than 'dressing.' The result is that it's kinda thin, and too much of it drips off of the wings, in case you're a dunker.
They'll bring you a handful of wet naps, as well. Always welcome. Overall, I give it two orange sauce-covered thumbs up!
