My friend, Jimmy would kill me if he saw me post this picture, but I'm 99% sure that he doesn't read my blog.
I used to do Sunday Nights at our house all the time, where we'd invite our closest friends over, make a nice meal, have some drinks, and watch a movie, or the TV show of the moment, and maybe play a game or something. It was the best way to start the week. So often, Sunday nights could be a bummer, because you knew that you were right on the cusp of another work week, but having a fun laid-back evening with friends seemed to redeem Sunday nights, in some way.
Sunday nights at our house used to be a regular thing, but when work took over my life a few years back, I got out of the habit. And though we've done it sporadically since then, it hasn't become a regular thing. That's why I put it on my list to revive them.
The first Sunday Night of this project was this week, and we had a delicious meal that David made--bone-in pork rib roast, with green beans and roast fingerling potatoes. And girl scout cookies for dessert.
But most importantly, we played Cards Against Humanity. I got it as a Christmas Gift from my sister and ... well ... completely inappropriate and very, very fun. I think we'll be playing at many future Sunday gatherings.
Oh. And this is also my Daily Picture. Sorry, Jimmy.
