It's the First Monday of the New Year (not sure why that's capitalized, but that's how I typed it. Pfft.) And one of my things is to lose 20 lbs. So, I weighed myself, and here's where we are--198.8 lbs. Meaning, I need to get my big, fat, tired, white, lazy, union ass down to 178.8 lbs, in order to meet my challenge.
This is going to take some doing. I lost weight before, as part of an earlier 101 Things in 1001 Days project. I think I can probably do it again. Here's my strategy:
-Only eat whole grains. No white foods.
-Drink lots of water.
-Weigh-in once a week on Monday mornings.
-Lots of vegetables.
-Stick to my plan on the 'no booze' items on my list.
-Try to get some exercise once in a while.
I'm going to try this for a week on my own and see how I do. And if I'm not making any progress at all (meaning, I want to lose an average of two pounds a week), I may go back to Weight Watchers, since that worked for me, before.
Wish me luck!
